Congratulations to the Ft. Worth All Stars who dominated the tournament from start to finish. The All-Stars defended their home field again by not allowing a single point in the tournament. Congratulations also to Maryland Charm City Connection for a great run at this year's tournament.
Fort Worth All-Stars (4-0)- With a tremendous combination of size and speed, the All-Stars easily disposed of their bracket foes and went on to take care of business in the playoffs as well. Ft. Worth made key defensive stops in the finals to preserve their shut outs. The All-Stars did not give up a single point in the tournament.
Maryland Charm City Connection (3-1)- Many of their players also played in the basketball Division and still made it to the finals. Maryland's strength is their fast defensive line and quick hitting offense. They are not as strong as Ft. Worth but had it not been for two crucial turnovers in the red zone, we might be talking about Maryland in a different light.
Tennessee K-7 (2-2)- Well short handed, K-7 still found a way to make it to the Final 4. Led by their Mobile
Dallas Interceptacons (3-1)- FC Dallas mix is a strong team that came a catch away from upsetting Maryland to play in the finals. This team is on the rise, and it will be interesting to see if they catch Ft. Worth.
Rowlett Raiders (1-3)- They are lovable loser in the circuit. They huff, they puff, and then the house falls on top of them; except against Old Skool when everything went right…
Dallas Playmakers (0-3)- How can one team go so far backwards in a short window. Last year, they were fighting for a spot in the final, this year, they were fighting to stay out of the cellar.
Dallas MFG (1-2)- They lack game breaking skill but they are the epitome of sportsmanship and playing the game right.
Dallas Shake N Bake (1-2)- If they could play as much as they talk, they would win every tournament. This is a fun team and a genuinely nice bunch of kids, but this team sounds better than they are.
Old Skool (0-3)- Old and not very good is not the right combination. The team showed some life against a depleted Tennessee but a playoff loss to the Raiders was too much to handle.

Overall, the football tournament went as expected. The top 2 seeds dominated their brackets and met in the finals. Fort Worth dominated from start to finish and completed a feat that may not be matched by averaging over 30 points per game and shutting out every opponent.
Some of the players from Houston were in attendance and plan on having up to 4 teams in next year's tournament. Houston itself has a 8 team non contact league but all their teams were weary of the line contact. After seeing the contact rules that we had in place, they are comfortable so I expect a 12-16 team tournament next year using our modified rules.
